About Us

All Out Guitar 2 In 2005 AO Media Directors Andy Conroy and Owen Edwards conceived the concept of a stand alone online guitar magazine designed to appeal to players across the spectrum.

AO Media assembled a nationwide team of expert professional guitarists to develop the concept during 2005 and 2006, with a remit to provide the worldwide guitar community with an independent online guitar magazine that operated with the highest standards of journalism. With a core team whose individual business experience also includes publishing; marketing and sales; and web design and development, AO Media was formed to create a fresh alternative to the established publishing industry.

AO Media were in essence trail blazing a new concept – a stand alone online guitar magazine designed to appeal to players across the spectrum. Whilst there were a multitude of online guitar sites in 2005, none really took the magazine format of news, reviews, features, interviews and lessons to quite the extent that we planned to.

Directors Andy Conroy and Owen Edwards assembled a nationwide team of expert professional guitarists to develop the concept and in September 2006 Alloutguitar.com was launched featuring exclusive in-depth interviews with world renowned guitarists, features, news and reviews and extensive lessons covering all popular guitar styles.

The first year was always intended to be a great learning curve to find out what works and what doesn’t – and to do it in the real world, and rely on users feedback to refine the concept in readiness for what we are confident will prove to be the benchmark in online guitar publishing.

All Out Guitar 1 And, it seems as if were weren’t the only ones who envisaged a need for an online guitar magazine: in addition to several new independent ventures that have sprung up in 2007, several well known print guitar magazines are about to launch their own stand alone sites. Earlier this year Guitarworld.com radically expanded and improved its site content to the point that it was no just an online advert for their print magazine - as has Guitarplayer.com. But, without wishing to sing our own praises too much, we were the first. And, without being contentious, check out our AOG version One design, and then have a look around at some of the ones to have emerged recently…close aren’t they?

Alloutguitar.com is the first fully fledged free to use on line guitar magazine. Designed to appeal to all guitar fans regardless of musical taste, AOG will provide the most in-depth interviews and features possible with artists from all genres and music styles. AOG will review the latest music and DVD releases, inform you about releases you may have missed, and re-assess some classic albums. AOG will notify you about guitar related concerts, gigs and events both Internationally and locally.
