Ben McDonnell

Ben picked up the guitar at 13 and developed an unhealthy addiction to Hendrix and never looked back.

Thankfully his musical tastes have now broadened to include everything! Predominantly a jazz musician Ben is based in London and plays in big bands, quartets trios and duos in any corner of the world where people will listen to him. Happy to play in any musical situation Ben has also had the pleasure of working with several Rock, Soul, Funk and Blues bands. Ben has also appeared as a session player on various recordings in London, the southeast and most recently Mongolia..

As well as performing Ben has been teaching all his professional life, he has been employed at schools, colleges, universities and summer camps to help people make their guitars sound like they want them too.

Ben studied at the Guitar Institute in London and Leeds College of Music.
