Jay Matharu

After hearing Nirvana for the first time Jay Matharu consistently pestered his parents for two years until they gave in and bought him his first electric guitar (it took another 6 months before they bought him an amp). Since then he has studied at both ACM and Guitar Institute London and played with numerous bands and projects ranging from Death Metal to Electronica.

He has supported bands such as “Theatre Des Vampires” and “Brutal Deluxe” as well as sharing the stage with members of “Violent Delight” and “Karmic Jera” in side project “Black Tie Event”.

In April 2006 he toured throughout the UK as a crewmember of Breed 77 on their support slot with Fear Factory.

At the moment he spends most of his time teaching and writing music with new project Mahavira fusing Rock/Pop with some Asian sensibilities.
