ALAN MCGEE EXCLUSIVELY AT ICMP
Ever wanted to learn the secrets of how to succeed in the music industry? The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is excited to announce that they will host an exclusive event with one of the music industry’s most influential men, Alan McGee, on Tuesday 19th February from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.
Alan McGee is most notably known for founding the music label, Creation Records (1983-2000) where he signed and managed such huge acts as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and The Libertines. However, his best known success story is Oasis, who he signed to Creation in the 1990’s.
After the closure of Creation Records, Alan immediately founded a new label called Poptones who have had success with the Hives, the Charlatans and Dirty Pretty Things. All these acts are also managed by Alan McGee Management. He also runs an international club night called Death Disco which has residencies in New York, Budapest and Los Angeles, and travels Europe with his close friend and musical client Tim Burgess of The Charlatans on DJ tours every year.
