Overview's
I am pleased to report that Saxon have remained gloriously true to their roots here and, although it doesn't scale the dizzy heights of their 2004 masterpiece 'Lionheart' – in my opinion one of the finest traditional metal albums of recent times – it is, nevertheless, a very good album with some cracking anthems and great production. Stand out cuts include 'I've Got to Rock to Stay Alive' (I know, don't laugh!), 'Red Star Falling' and the latest single 'If I Was You'. The album finishes with a bonkers epic called 'Atilla the Hun', which is so metal it would make Manowar cry!
Conclusion
Long may the lads from Barnsley continue their resurgence!
