Here is a list of the 12 finalists in order of play, with selected comments from the 7 judges on the actual day. For the sake of people’s feelings and/or egos, we have not put the final scores for each finalist. We do however mention the Top 3 places and their scores out of a possible 140 points!

So after winning the public vote and the online panel’s vote, Gustavo Guerra impressed a panel of industry judges enough to win Guitar Idol 2008 by a clear distance. His fully professional performance, showmanship and exquisite technique needed no hiding place on the main stage at The London Guitar Show!

Paul Reed Smith awarded Gustavo a Custom 24 Limited Edition (1 of 12) – a beautiful guitar worth over £2500 ($5000) and a Peavey ‘Satch’ signature amp signed by the great man himself.

So after 2 months of wizardry and mayhem (see forum), Guitar Idol finally has 12 excellent competitiors for the big showdown on Saturday 14th June 2008 at The London International Music Show (Excel).
