Nikki Sixx – The Heroin Diaries - A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star

I bought this book at JFK airport and for once wished that the flight to London was longer. Having read and fully enjoyed Motley Crue’s now infamous ‘The Dirt’, I had no doubts that their ringleader could deliver another classic, even if most of it was penned in 1987 in a drug-induced stupor.

My knowledge of Johnny Cash was relatively small other than, as a kid, sticking on my parents vinyl copy of 'Folsom Prison Blues' and thinking "wow, a record by a real prisoner" - and then scratching it and getting sent to bed! I didn't really listen much to Johnny Cash until one night a back in November 2002 and a mate played me 'Hurt' from 'The Man Comes Around' album - and if you have not heard it, beg, borrow or steal (or fialing thaat go elsewhere on line!) - it is truly an inspirational listen.
