Guitar Idol can confirm that legendary bass player Billy Sheehan will be one of the judges for The Final Of Guitar Idol 2008 at the London International Music Show, Saturday 14th June, 10.30am on the main stage.

Billy is of the most revered bass players in Rock history and has recorded and performed with some of the world’s greatest guitar players such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Greg Howe, Tony McAlpine, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani and Richie Kotzen to name but a few.

News site www.tmz.com has reported that the Van Halen tour has been cancelled. There are no concrete reasons announced yet but speculatiuon is as always rife.

The most likely problem is Eddie Van Halen and his consumption issues. Recent footage on youtube of Eddie's playing and countless reports are proof that there is something wrong. Let's hope that this can be resolved/treated and that there is still a future for Van Halen 4!
